About Simply IT Zanzibar

Simply IT was represented strongly at the October 2018 Zanzibar Tourism Show and steadily expanded it's technical team to accommodate the resulting increase in customers.

With a steady increase in the number of clients in Zanzibar requiring web-design, online marketing and e-commerce Simply IT added to its international team of professionals.

Despite the challenges of a worldwide Covid-19 crisis, Simply IT continued to grow.  Shireen recruited a European who was living in Stone Town.  He is an expert in web-development, Search Engine and Social Media Optimisation.  This allowed Simply IT to continue to grow sustainably and locally to facilitate businesses in the tourism sector to consolidate their online marketing presence even in the challenges of the pandemic.  Towards the end of the year Simply IT added more to its international team and finished the year strongly.

Simply IT has seen steady growth in 2021. More clients and expansion of our services as Covid-19 subsided.  We recruited a new developer and welcomed, Arsheen a new Social Media expert to the team.  We are now looking to add another local SEO and hardware expert.  As the world recovers from a global pandemic businesses are seeing the need for more online presence, contactless solutions and e-commerce websites to promote and sell services and products.  May 2021 saw a major shift in how Google Search deals with websites.   (See our knowledgebase article about the  Google Search changes here). 

We successfully implemented several internet, wifi and firewall WAN/LAN solutions for hotels and educational establishments.

Simply IT grows steadily.  In 2022 growth accelerated through the gears. Simply IT added three new members to the team.  A Kenyan website developer, a developer and server hosting technician in Tanzania, and an intern in Zanzibar.  All to helping to provide a high degree of professionalism to over 30 clients, top quality website design, 24/7 customer support and speed across all our other services.

In 2023 we hit the road running.  5 websites designed for Zanzibar, East African and UK clients went live in the first week of January.  We added 2 digital marketing social responsible projects one in Zanzibar and one in UK.  We develop website projects for free for worthy charitable causes.  If you are an NGO check us out for discounts.  Like the rest of the world we have gone from a jog to a sprint in the Artificial Intelligence race that will see every sector affected by AI. Not just SEO, Digital Marketing, Website Design and web development... but every aspect of life on the planet. 

Simply IT was the first Digital Marketing agency in Zanzibar to fully use AI to develop multilingual websites.  Now we use AI in all our tools. We took on two new staff and moved to new offices at Migoz Plaza in Zanzibar.

We have now created websites in Europe and in East Africa. Our vision is to expand globally like ripples on a pond.  We added two more website developers from Kenya and Tanzania to the team in the first week of January 2024.  We partnered with a professional photographer for content creation for Social Media Management Team. 

Simply IT Global opened our Europe office on 8th April 2024 in Covent Garden, London UK. Our East Africa office continues to be based in Zanzibar, Tanzania. 

We launched a Safari website offer in September that resulted in 5 multilingual websites being created.

Despite health scares and two operations, we finished the year strong with three extra experts on the team.

2025, was our tenth year of operation.  We have served over 50 clients this year.

However, with our strong team of marketing experts in East Africa with decades of experience we are looking for more projects and clients in Tanzania, Kenya and Ethiopia.  

In Zanzibar in 2026 we are starting a project we are very excited about.  More news on this as it happens. Watch this space.
