SimplyIT is a digital marketing and software agency headquartered at 2nd Floor Migoz Plaza, Nyerere Road, Migombani, Stone Town, Zanzibar 2281, Tanzania. We build and manage websites, run digital marketing campaigns, provide AI assistants, SEO, e-commerce, multilingual translation and web/email hosting.

We only collect the information we need to deliver our services or that you give us directly.

• Contact details — name, email address, phone number, company, and any message you send through our contact forms, “Get a Quote” requests, or “Free SEO Audit” forms.
• Enquiry and project information — details you provide when requesting a quote or discussing a project (e.g. service type, budget, project scope, website details).
• Chat data (SAM AI Assistant) — when you chat with our SAM assistant, we process your questions, the itinerary/trip-planning requests you submit, and your contact details (name, email) so we can reply to you.
• Newsletter data — your email address and marketing preferences when you subscribe.
• Communications — records of emails, messages and calls you exchange with us.
• Billing and transaction data — details needed to process payments for our services (billing name, address, payment method reference). We do not store full card numbers.
• Usage and technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring links, and interaction data collected through cookies and analytics.

3. How we collect data

• When you fill in forms on our website.
• When you use our SAM AI assistant, chat or email us.
• When you subscribe to our newsletter or request a quote.
• Automatically through cookies, web beacons and analytics tools when you browse our site.
• Through social media marketing tools (pixels) when you interact with our content.

4. Why we process your data (legal bases)

We process personal data on the following bases:

SimplyIT is based in Tanzania. Where possible we use data hosting in European data centres for our clients’ sites. We take reasonable steps to ensure transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or consent), consistent with the EU GDPR and the Tanzanian Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

6. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (hosting providers, email and CRM tools, analytics providers, payment processors, marketing platforms such as Google and Meta, and our own service partners), and where required by law. These providers process data only on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal or accounting obligations, and protect our legitimate interests. Newsletter and marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
